Smoke Detectors

Smoke detectors save lives!

They can tell you if there is a fire even when you are sleeping. They are very important.

Make sure that there is at least one smoke detector on each level of your home.

Make sure that smoke detectors are installed outside of sleeping areas too.

Have a grown-up test each smoke detector each month by pressing the test button.

Have a grown-up change the batteries every year or when the smoke detector chirps (like a cricket), which means the battery is getting low.
